Recent Gigs
The ageless Robyn Hitchcock at the ABC in Glasgow who was in brilliant form playing with Peter Buck, Scott McCaughey and Bill Rieflin as 'Minus 3' producing an exquisite sound that brought back all the highs of psychedelic folk.
Tim Matthews (a man of many talents) fronting Mystery Juice at Bannermans in Edinburgh whose mixture of beatnik rap and electric violin was spellbinding.
My old pals Simple Minds at the Carling Academy, Glasgow, blowing away the cobwebs and showing they've lost none of their vitality and intensity with a set full of obscure favourites from the past mixed with highlights from their new album 'Black & White'. The audience was ecstatic.
Finally, at the Bongo Club last Thursday, 'Blofeldy' surprised and delighted a discerning audience with a set dominated by new songs which are currently being recorded for the new Aberfeldy album. The James Bond themed evening was one of those 'one-off' nights that just shouldn't have been missed. (Sorry if you did!)
That's all for now but I'll be back soon!
